Shahzeeb Khan is popularly known by his CSGO gamer name, ShahZaM. He is a retired professional gamer from the United States and began his gaming career in 2012. It ran until 2019, where he took a different professional path and is now a Valorant pro-gamer for the Sentinels. Before retirement, he played as an AWPer in the team and won several awards with his team. ShahZaM has played in several tournaments and has emerged among the best players in some.
The player attributes some of the success he has had on the games to his settings on CSGO. These made ShahZaM a better player and gave him a competitive edge over other players. These are the settings he used in the game.
Mouse setup
ShahZaM plays with a Logitech G703 Hero mouse, and it is highly preferred among gamers due to its reliability. He sets the mouse sensitivity at 1.7 and the zoom sensitivity at 1. these settings make it easier to change directions and to zoom onto distant targets. The Mouse Acceleration option is disabled while the DPI is set at 400. The Raw Input is on to ensure every mouse movement is captured by the sensors for a faster effect.
Monitor setup
ShahZaM sets the resolution at 1024×768 and the Aspect Ratio at 4:3. These are perfect for visibility on the Benq XL2546 monitor. It has a 240Hz refresh rate, and the scaling mode is stretched. The monitor ensures ShahZaM doesn’t have to strain his eyes as he plays competitive games or trains for long hours.
Video setup
The gamer sets the in-game settings brightness level at 130% and the display mode on fullscreen. The power savings option is disabled for maximum performance. He uses an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 TI as it can achieve all the high setting parameters he uses in the game. ShahZaM plays under a low Texture Detail, Effect Detail, and Shader Detail. The Global Shadow Quality is set at very low. The Texture Streaming, FXAA rendering, and Triple-Monitor mode are disabled as he plays.
