What scoped sensitivity actually does
The scoped sens multiplier scales your sensitivity when you zoom in with a weapon scope. A value of 1 means scoped sens = hipfire sens. A value of 0.8 means scoped sens is 20% slower than hipfire.
Riot designed Valorant so that 1 = 1:1 zoom feel — your physical aim translates 1:1 to scoped aim regardless of zoom level. That's why "1" is the pro default: it preserves muscle memory across zoom and hipfire.
Why some pros run below 1
Operator mains and dedicated AWPers sometimes drop scoped sens to 0.85–0.95 so their long-range tracking is more controlled. The trade-off: scope-flicks feel slower. It's a precision/speed dial.
What should you use?
- Use 1 unless you have a specific reason not to. Easier muscle memory.
- If you Op a lot and your scoped tracking feels jumpy, try 0.9. If it feels better, keep it.
- Don't go above 1. There's no pro precedent for it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What scoped sensitivity do most Valorant pros use?
1 — 78 of 113 pros (69.0%).
Should I lower my Valorant scoped sens?
Only if you Operator-main and feel scoped tracking is jumpy. Try 0.9, see if it improves. Otherwise leave it at 1.
What does scoped sens = 1 mean in Valorant?
Your sensitivity while scoped matches your hipfire sensitivity — no change. This is the pro default and the cleanest muscle-memory option.
Does scoped sens affect ADS sens?
No. ADS sens (rifle right-click zoom on Vandal, Bulldog, etc.) is a separate multiplier. Scoped sens applies only to true scopes (Operator, Marshall, Outlaw, Guardian zoom).
